I think it would be haunting if they took the first bit of the music we ever heard… and recycled it for the track “Harry’s Sacrifice.” But - slow it down to the point where it crawls over our skin. I took the liberty of trying it out, the whole slowing down process.
If you sit there, with both headphones in, and imagine Harry walking toward Voldemort for what he thinks is the last time, it really does fit beautifully.

Harry Potter is, and has been a HUGE part of my life and I don’t want that to change.
The Hunger Games looks and sounds amazing. I have a copy of it but I am to scared to open it. I don’t want to loose the magic of Harry Potter, like some of my Potter Head friends.
The thing with fandoms is that they don’t always have to replace one another. Just because you start a new book series, or join a new fandom, it doesn’t mean you will lose the magic of HP. I’ve been in so many different fandoms since HP, and it’s still my favorite series, and my favorite fandom.
If you love Harry Potter, reading another series isn’t going to change that. You are capable of loving more than one thing at a time. Seriously. And if you live your life never opening another book again out of fear of loving HP any less, you’re really missing out on quite a lot. Think of it this way - I think Jo would prefer we continue reading and discovering new worlds than worry about replacing Harry Potter. And as someone who also loves The Hunger Games — read it. It’s worth it.
tl;dr - There are a lot of amazing books out there. Don’t be afraid to check them out. Hogwarts will always be there to welcome us home, remember?
